TODAY IS RICK DAY!

Yes, I turn 21 today. Oops, sorry...I mean 31. Christ, I'm gettin' old! But I'm happy and grateful to make it into my 30s.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving. I spent the day at Lindsey's family's place out in I don't know where...Calabasas, maybe? Out there. FAR. Anyway...it was a great day. Her family's very welcoming of me and the fact that they like me as much as they do makes me feel closer to her. I managed not to over eat there, probably the first Thanksgiving ever that that's happened, and had a really great time playing basketball (which I'm feeling today) and video games with the family.

Yesterday was also our first anniversary. So, that made it an even better day. I had a get-together the night before with some friends and after they left in the wee hours of the morning Lindsey and I exchanged anniversary presents. Linds also went ahead and gave me my birthday presents, which I didn't argue about. She got me:

-the 2005 Incredibles calendar
-The Art of The Incredibles book, a magnificent collection
-The Godfather Returns, a sequel to the classic novel written by another writer
-a hujungous jar of candy filled with Gobstoppers and Jolly Ranchers, a couple of my
faves

And for our anniversary, she made the coolest photo memory book of our year together. It's better than all the other stuff combined.

I really love and appreciate this girl. You hear me, Linds? I love ya!

Today, we're heading out to Palm Springs for the weekend for some much needed gettin' away from LA time.
