Here's a new blog I discovered on the Drawing Board dedicated to illustration and design. Some inspiring stuff.

Last night I did some work on a nutty-looking Mastercard commercial. I worked at a company in Culver City that was also having their company party the same night. I was warned that it would be loud, and it was. The room I worked in was more like a glorified cubicle with no doors so it was open to whatever noises were directly outside of it. Everyone seemed to worry about how much work I was gonna get done with all the racket. The guy who worked in the room before me even graciously loaned me his iPod. But I did fine. I probably would have been listening to music that loud anyway and the selections by the party DJ kept me awake (lots of club hip hop and various other party favorites). I was in at 6pm and was out of there by 1130. I did not use the iPod.

Hopefully, our extremely late Christmas cards will be done today and I'll be able to send them out by tomorrow. The lateness, of course, is my fault since I dragged my ass a bit on drawing it in the first place but I think it came out okay. I got Celia's card a couple of days ago and it is gorgeous. (I'll have to apologize about the quality of mine in the card I give her.) On top of that she made these cards for charity. I'm going to hell.

The California stem cell research train moves along.

Have a good weekend, kids.
