THE GRINDSTONE

Finally got some work and now all I'm doing is working. It's pilot season in Hollywood, when everyone is scrambling to get their television pilots done for whoever needs to see them. That means tons of work for guys like me. Ironically, I've only worked on one pilot (which will probably never be heard from again). I mostly worked on The OC (a show I don't watch) and I've been working nights on a digital remastering of a certain musical from the '70s about the '50s. This week, it's been day and night, double shifts....not fun.

And I miss the hell out of Lindsey, whom I've only been seeing for 10 minutes in the morning and a few minutes at night before I pass out from exhaustion.

But hey...I'm not complaining. Work is work. And I'm happy to have it.

Here's something I drew the last time I drew something...

And right now, as I type, I'm working on The Omen remake! I never know what the hell will come my way...

LOOKING BACK

One of Chris Wahl's latest posts got me thinking about this old Donnie Darko drawing I did a few years ago. It was to be part of a series of drawings dedicated to my favorite movies at the time. I got to Darko and Fight Club before I got bored with it. But I think the Darko piece came out pretty well.

Chris is obsessed about zombies, too. I may have to get down on that today.

YES, I'M TWELVE

At least I can act like it, sometimes. Yes, it's juvenile. But I dare any American anywhere who doesn't happened to be named Poo Ping to not laugh at this, then not return with a camera to take a picture of it. I'm sure I'm only the five millionth person to do so, although I may be one of the few to do so who's over 30.

Behold...

Maybe the food's just incredibly spicy.
