CARICATURE
I'm no Corbett Vanoni, but I can do the occasional caricature. This is of my fiancee's co-worker who's leaving for somewhere else. She's giving it to him as part of a going-away present.
I think his head's a little pointier, but close enough.
The initial pencil sketch. I then scanned it and finished
the rest of the drawing in Photoshop.
My lone photo ref of the guy.
It's about 3 times smaller than this.

RICKCORTES.COM IS BACK UP!
Okay, there's nothing there yet except for a link to this blog and to my fx reel, but it's up and I'll be working on it some more in the next few days. The update will be a no-nonsense design. I'll let my work do the talking. I'm still looking for material that needs to be scanned and put up. Sit tight!
